Job Summary
The Financial Systems Specialist II position involves Project management. Plan, develop, build, oversee, provide feedback, implement changes for reports and projects. Work with System Office and Colleges in the development of new processes, planning, initiating, monitoring, and verifying outcomes within a specified timeframe. The ability to problem solve, provide new ideas, research issues providing detailed documentation, in addition to training. This position requires technical expertise and the ability to develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and reports with some understanding of programming and database management.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
Review of applications will begin in January 2025.
Job Duties:
SQL Query Development.
Report Design and Management.
PeopleSoft Financials / HRMS Support Services.
College Support Services.
Financial Analysis and Data Quality.
Budget Module / PeopleSoft Support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Information Technology and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:
Financial Background and ability to communicate managerial analysis. Depth and background in Accounting/Finance relevant and beneficial for this position. Demonstrated knowledge in SQL Query development, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HRMS, Student Financials and DSS, and Microsoft Office. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
