About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Building Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of the Historic Lake Courthouse building in the heart of Crown Point. This position requires a dynamic, hands-on individual with strong organizational skills, experience in administrative duties, and proficiency in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will also need to be available on call, handling urgent building issues outside of regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the building, ensuring smooth functionality and tenant satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing and resolving concerns promptly.
- Perform regular building inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, liaising with contractors and service providers.
- Manage building-related finances, including rent collection, accounts payable using QuickBooks.
- Prepare financial reports, manage accounts payable/receivable, and assist board and accountant.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of building expenses, payments, and financial transactions.
- Handle emergency situations as they arise, providing on-call support for building issues (nights, weekends, holidays as required).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance requests, incidents, and tenant communications.
- Assist with lease agreements, renewals, and tenant move-ins/outs.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and property insurance requirements.
- Liaison with Board of Directors to create monthly agenda for board meeting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building management, property administration, or related fields.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing finances, billing, and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage tenant relations and work with service providers.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and be available for on-call duties as needed.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage budgets, invoices, and financial reports.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks as needed.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
