Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection:
- Manage the full cycle of recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure a diverse and inclusive recruitment process to attract qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation as needed to maintain a positive work environment.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances and recommend appropriate actions.
Performance Management:
- Administer performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal-setting and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans, when necessary, in collaboration with Executive Management, Managers, supervisors and department heads.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and support organizational goals.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth, both for individual employees and the organization as a whole.
- Collaborate with external trainers or organizations to provide specialized training programs as needed.
Compliance and Policy Development:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, serving as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in employee benefits and recommend adjustments to benefits packages as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in human resources roles, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in ADP software and Microsoft Office Suite, and additional Human resource integrated software.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
