Job Title: Associate Administrator to the CEO
Location: Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club Administrative offices 1607 N Market Street Champaign Il (suite within Human Kinetics)
Overview:
The Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Administrator to support our CEO. This role is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our organization, ensuring effective human resources management, stakeholder communication, and assistance with administrative and grant support-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for all DMBGC staff, ensuring a seamless transition for new and departing employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions and coordinate both prerequisite and ongoing training through the Boys and Girls Club of America.
- Maintain open lines of communication with funders, ensuring timely submission of reports and effective internal tracking of all related documentation.
- Assist the CEO in all Board of Director functions, including preparation of meeting minutes, distribution of board packets, and coordination of related activities.
- Support the Grant Writing Team in the preparation of business-related components necessary for successful grant applications.
- Assist with various business functions as needed and directed by the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in administrative or managerial roles, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
- Understanding of HR best practices with proven success in onboarding, maintaining job descriptions, and staff training coordination.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including staff, board members, funders, and community partners.
- Experience in grant report writing, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Proficient writing skills and ability to work independently with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong technological proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and cloud-based portals.
