Job Summary: Executive Assistant
Join the dynamic team at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, a community-based nonprofit as Executive Assistant to the President/CEO. The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the President; coordinating meetings of the Board of Directors and related processes; managing activities of the Executive Office; and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to move projects forward and a keen attention to detail and copy-editing are imperative for this position.
  • Coordinate the schedule of the President/CEO for internal and external meetings and roles; arrange travel when necessary.
  • Interact with all stakeholders including members of the Board of Directors, staff, program participants, and community leaders setting a welcoming tone for the Executive Office.
  • Schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders and acts as the point person for distribution of materials, attendance tracking, and follow-up.
  • Organize and prepare all materials necessary for meetings and ensures the President/CEO has access to the materials in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Goodwill team, especially Philanthropy and Marketing and Communications.
  • Strong proofreading, copy-editing, and writing skills are required.
  • Positive attitude and sense of humor are essential.
  • Position is in-person Monday – Friday.
  • Other general administrative duties as needed
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or Associate’s Degree in a relevant field) required.
  • Seven to ten years professional business experience in comparable roles. Experience working with C-Suite executives required. Prior experience working with a Board of Directors a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must handle assignments that involve highly sensitive or confidential matters. Must demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with high level contacts inside and outside the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires acceptable results of background checks according to Goodwill policy and requirements.
