Position Summary: This Director role has operational responsibility for overseeing the quality, relevance, and robustness of Futuro Health’s education and training offerings - including career technical programs, essential skills coursework, and skills-building micro-credentials - that facilitate seamless educational and employment transitions for Futuro Health Scholars.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operationalizing the Futuro Health’s training roadmap established by the Chief Learning Officer
  • Providing oversight and coordination of staff and resource allocation to deliver on contracts, grants and strategic objectives – and deliver on end-client satisfaction with project and goals for Scholar enrollment, completion and employment in good jobs
  • Overseeing onboarding and performance management of education partners in furtherance of Scholar enrollment, completion and employment outcomes.
  • Ensuring the quality and credibility of training offerings with employers as well as accrediting and licensing bodies
  • Supporting the Chief Learning Officer to vet and contract with new education providers and vendors
  • Facilitate program assessment, (re)design, and revisions in response to Scholar feedback, industry trends, employer and job market demands
  • Pursuing the vision of Pathway-by-Design and the stackability of credentials as an approach to instructional design to provide day one-ready employability as well as learner upward mobility
  • With funding, growing and keeping updated the inventory of Futuro Health-owned training assets to be available for subscription and/or fee for service.
  • Work closely and collaboratively across departments to coordinate, integrate and create the personalized, unique education journey and interventions to deliver on KPIs
  • Hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance managing staff to perform in roles.
  • Advance a positive culture and deliver on organizational goals as is appropriate for a Director level role
  • Utilize data to monitor staff and program performance, make informed decisions, and report on outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of the Director of Pathways and Program Management focus on strategic program development, operations management, team leadership, and stakeholder collaboration. These functions are critical to ensuring that the educational and career development programs successfully meet the needs of scholars and align with industry demands. Here are the key essential functions detailed:

  • Career Education Program Planning & Development, Labor Market Analyses:
  • Structure instructional design strategy based on employer hiring and upskilling needs and accreditation/hiring requirements.
  • Implement innovative, stackable educational and career development programs and micro-credentials that align with market trends and job demands.
  • Regularly assess and recommend programs and training content to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in preparing Scholars for career opportunities and/or for employers to upskills their employees.
  • Differentiate Futuro Health and Futuro Health Scholars through signature offerings as well as stackability of training offerings.
  • Education Partner and Industry Engagement, Stakeholder Communications:
  • Ensure self- and pathway managers establish and maintain strong relationships with educational partners, employers, and other relevant organizations to inform and enhance program offerings and improve employment outcomes.
  • Ensure self and pathway managers work with education partners to 1) monitor Scholar enrollment, completion, 2) ensure alignment of curriculum with industry’s standards and career pathways, and 3) monitor contractual commitments and budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Experiential Learning on externships and employment outcomes.
  • Make improvements to workflows, tools, data and reporting and other levers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Engage stakeholders in dialogue to gather insights, share successes, and build support for initiatives.
  • Leadership, Operational Planning and Management, Team Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of staff (including instructors, facilitators, coordinators, and pathway managers) towards deliverables. Lead, motivate, and manage team members, setting clear goals and effectuating performance.
  • Implement and maintain efficient operational systems, logistics and processes, staffing, and resource/budget allocation that support the achievement of goals. Provide subject matter expertise and integrate efforts where processes integrate like with the externship and success coaching teams.
  • Create and enforce standard operating policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the organization.
  • Complete annual goal setting, mid-year and year-end review processes for self and staff within deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and support professional development of staff to enhance team performance and morale. Serve as a role model in maintaining a positive and productive workplace.
  • Develop unit budget and allocate resources efficiently to deliver on goals. Deliver on or under budget, making recommendations as needed and identifying savings or better used for investments.
  • Monitor Dashboard, Conduct Data Analysis and Program Evaluation:
  • Establish and execute key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate staff monitoring progress and acting according to their roles and to furnish the executive team with consistent insights.
  • Utilize data tools to evaluate effectiveness of training offerings, track Scholar progression and outcomes, understand Scholar and employer satisfaction, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance impact.
  • Use feedback and data to continuously improve program offerings and operations.
  • Develop interventions and innovations to address shortcomings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in higher education and workforce programs including administrative experience in a role equivalent to a dean in a nursing or health science department.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful educational and career pathways programs, including curricular design.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in forming and maintaining partnerships with industry stakeholders and employers.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management, strategic planning, and project execution.
  • Capability to inspire, motivate, and direct a diverse team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Experience in change management and driving innovations in program development.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to utilize data in program development and evaluation.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation to ensure program efficiency and sustainability.
  • Ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders, including education and industry partners.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology like Canvas and administrative software to streamline operations (Proficient in project management tools and with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Familiarity with current trends in education and healthcare employment, with the ability to adapt strategies to evolving market and industry needs.
  • Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond effectively to new challenges and changes in the educational landscape.
  • Innovative thinking to develop new strategies for program growth and enhancement.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, allied health, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or specific clinical qualifications highly preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does have supervisory responsibility over staff over time.

Work Environment/Travel:

This is a remote role. Travel will be required to attend meetings and conferences (e.g. leadership and divisional retreats, All-hands retreats).

Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand, and type for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work irregular hours including after hours and weekends although this will be infrequent.

Position Type: This position is full-time. The hours may include weekends, nights, and holidays.
