The HR Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to effectively engage employees and stakeholders across all levels of the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that HR initiatives, policies, and programs are communicated clearly, consistently, and in alignment with Boston Children’s Hospital’s values and objectives. The primary objective will be to foster a positive and transparent work environment while promoting a culture of open communication and employee engagement.

- Develop internal communication materials tailored to the audience and context.
- Work closely with HR Senior Leadership on best practices for communicating business information within and across the organization and within the HR team.
- Create messages and communications that are detailed, accurate and concise, and tailored to a range of topics that span department-wide messaging, leadership communication, meeting presentations, video scripts, key messages and talking points.
- Manage the planning and implementation of HR-related projects and communications while working closely with HR leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure our communication efforts align with our overall objectives and corporate communication guidelines while capturing Boston Children’s mission and core values.
- Collaborate with others to develop and implement programs and communication materials for targeted audiences that enhances awareness and the utilization of division programs and services.
- Maintain records, documents, contacts, and other sources of communication essential to the performance of duties.
- Serves as an internal communication consultant for programs and projects.
- Develop and roll out communication strategies to drive the corporate message and advise HR leadership and Associates on all aspects of communication.
- Stay current with trends and platform updates to optimize content for maximum reach and engagement.
- Perform related responsibilities as required.
- BA degree in Communications, human resources, business administration, or a related field. MA degree preferred.
- 5 years of directly related work experience with process improvement.
- Proven experience in HR communications, corporate communications, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with digital communication platforms, social media management, and content management systems.
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with change management communications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
