Home Care Aide
Job Description
Warm Hearth at Home is searching for Certified Nursing Assistants, Personal Care Aides and Home Health Companions to serve our clients in their homes. All interested persons are encouraged to apply and trainings and education opportunities are available to candidates that have a passion for the elderly.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Preferred CPR/FA certificate or completion of CPR/FA class offered by Warm Hearth Village within 30 days of hire.
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Current and valid auto insurance
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a religious or medical exemption prior to hire.
Preferred but not required:
- Valid Nurse Aide Certification in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing or completion of a Board of Nursing C.N.A. training program and valid certification to take the C.N.A. exam.
- Valid DMAS (Department of Medical Assistance Services) P.C.A. certification or completion of the Home Health P.C.A. class offered by Warm Hearth Village within 30 days of hire.
- Valid and current Home Health Aide training program certification or completion of the Home Health Aide class offered by Warm Hearth Village within 30 days of hire.
Shifts Hiring For:
- Searching to hire for days/evenings/weekend/holiday shifts.
- Searching for Full Time/Part Time/PRN

- Full Time employees earn four weeks of PTO per year and have access to five days (40 hours) upon hire.

- Full Time employees earn four hours of PTO for quarterly perfect attendance. Part Time Employees earn two hours of PTO for quarterly perfect attendance.

- Additional $0.75 per hour working on Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to clients following state and federal regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to light housekeeping, meal preparation, transporting resident to and from appointments as well as errands and ADL care as prescribed by the level of training.
- Report client needs and concerns to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- Must be able to complete physical tasks such as walking and standing for periods of time, reaching, carrying, pushing and pulling.
